Lord, Your Word promises that when our ways are pleasing to You, even our enemies will live at peace with us. Your Word also commands us to live at peace with others, as far as it is possible. You say that those who make peace will be blessed with bearing the title of Your children. Lord, there is much unrest in the world today, more than even we know. I pray for the Bengali Christians today, that You would make peace abound on all sides and that You would remove the tensions between the Christians and those of other religions. You say that faith is a gift from You, that none seek after You, that we are incapable of declaring Your lordship without the inspiration of Your Spirit. So I pray that You would impart the gift of Your Spirit to the lost of Bangladesh, that their hearts might be turned to seek after You, that they may declare as Peter did, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” I pray that You soften their hearts towards You, that their hearts would also be softened towards Your people, and that the believers’ good works would so shine before their neighbors and their persecutors that men would desire to possess that light–Your light. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Dear Father, You are the author and finisher of our faith. You are the Truth and the hope of our salvation. You brought joy to the apostles who suffered for Your name, because Your Spirit dwelt within them and encouraged them. Since the first apostles, we have found suffering for Your name to be a means of identifying with Your Son and with His persecution. I pray that as You granted joy to Paul, Silas, Barnabas, Peter, Phillip, Peter, and all the others who gave their lives for Your kingdom that You would also grant equal and even greater joy to those who suffer now. I pray that You would protect them with Your full armor: the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the sword of the Spirit, the helmet of salvation, and the shoes of the Gospel. I pray that You would lead them to the right passages of scripture at the perfect time in their circumstances and remind them that they are more than conquerors through You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Lord, You own the cattle on a thousand hills. In You are riches beyond our wildest dreams and imaginations. Everything was made by You, for You, and they are held together by You to this day. You have told us not to fear, because You are with us. You have told us to seek first Your kingdom rather than the things of this world. We have seen the effects of poverty in our own area and in areas around the world. Poverty leads us to desperation and often to despair. Poverty gives the enemy an open window to speak lies into our ears that go down to our innermost parts. Father, I thank You for the light that You have provided by which we can see the truth. I thank You for making Yourself available to us. I pray that You would extend the blessing of Your truth those suffering from poverty in Bangladesh. I pray that Your light would penetrate the darkness around them and that Your love would permeate the shroud of fear and uncertainty in which they live. I pray that their desperation would be redirected towards You, that they would turn their financial poverty into poverty of Spirit so that they may receive Your kingdom. I pray that You would turn their physical hunger and parchedness into a hunger and a thirst for righteousness. I pray that You would give them enough to live by so that they do not steal and dishonor You. I pray most of all that they would find You and that they would turn their hearts, their lives over to You in full surrender and fall in love with You, their great provider. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
“Tube wells are a common source of potable water in Bangladesh’s rural villages. Some private individuals own wells, while others can go to a public one. Bengali former Muslims who choose to follow Christ are effectively prevented from getting water from any tube well.
‘In our area, most public tube wells have arsenic, so the government sealed them,’ explained Ali [Siddiki]. ‘Tube wells that are free of arsenic are always crowded. But I am not allowed to get water, because I am a Christian.'”
Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” –John 4:13 & 14
Living Water, You are the source of all life. You created the waters and the land and made them separate. You came to earth as a human to refresh and to cleanse Your people. You are not a broken cistern, but a living spring of water, and You offer those springs to us to carry internally. I pray that You would continue to work through the various organizations that serve Your suffering children in Bangladesh. I pray that You would bless the projects in place to provide clean water to the Christians being denied this neccessity. You own the cattle on a thousand hills; now O rich and plentiful Lord, provide for those who are called by Your name and fill them to overflowing so that they may pour out on others with compassion and kindness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Heavenly Father, You alone are the reigning king over all the earth. You are sovereign in every situation, in every pocket of the world, in every human life. In Your hands, the world was made and by them it is held together. You have never taken advantage of Your subjects, never tempted us, never abused us, never shunned us for spite. I pray that You would now reach into the heart of this self-proclaimed king, Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, and give him love for his people. I pray that You would open his heart to the citizens of his nation who believe differently that he does. I pray that You would give him a sense of true justice and cause him to act upon it. I pray that You would abolish the nepotism in his government, that You would bring peace to the hearts of those uprising against his kingship, and to those who defend him. I pray that You would place compassion in the heart of King Al-Khalifa, and break the violence that proceeds from it. I pray that he would enact laws for the freedom of his people, and that You give strength and courage to the Christians under his rule. I pray that You would continue to reign supreme in Bahrain, and I thank You for Your faithfulness in doing so. In Jesus’ names I pray and ask these things, Amen.

Father of lights, You are the light of the world, and You have passed that marvelous light onto us, Your children. You have told us that we are Your light to the world that is dying in sin and hopelessness. You have sent us out as laborers into Your fields which are white for harvest. I pray that You would empower Your servants from the West and from other areas who serve in Bahrain to share their light with boldness and with compassion. I pray that they would be characterized by their love for You and for those around them. I pray that they would work diligently and honestly, above reproach and gentle towards their naysayers. I pray that the hearts of Bahrainis would be softened and opened to You and that You Spirit would be poured out among them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
